Well, I'm sitting here and am quite hungry, so the question popped into my mind: What are people's favorite foods?

I personally like anything that's ridiculously spicy, and spray cheese. Yes, spray cheese. That wonderful snack-in-a-can that you can buy for about a buck, and just spray it into your mouth, or, if you so desire, onto another item of food......... I, however, have found that when it's about 3:00 am and you haven't slept for about 36 hours, it's a lot easier to aim the cheese into your mouth. It can create quite a mess if you're groggy and miss the cracker unsure.gif.

Pretty much anything Italian. It is, by far and away, the best cuisine I have encountered in my entire life.

Thai, Indian, Greek, Middle Eastern are all good for dining out.

There is one Japanese place we go to which has great vegetarian sushi. In Knoxville there is a Filipino place with great Pancit Guisado (veggies and noodles) and eggrolls. Knoxville also has the best pizza I've ever tasted -- whole wheat crust, Chicago style, with lots of veggies cooked into the sauce (which is much better than just dumping them on top.)

At home we like baby field mix salads and other salads, Yukon Gold potatoes in just about any form, lots of different kinds of mushrooms, and a lot of other stuff.

My favorites:
  • Ravioli with either garlic alfredo or garlic butter sauce
  • White pizza (ricotta, garlic, oregano, basil, parsley, olive oil, mozarella, parmesan)
  • Lamb (braised is best) with garlic butter sauce - notice a pattern yet? smile.gif
  • Chicken fajitas or quesadillas with just cheese and sour cream
  • My homemade pot roast and Cheese and Sour Cream potatoes
  • Grilled chicken in a semi-spicy cajun cream sauce over pasta (a la Chili's "discontinued" Grilled Chicken Pasta - I found a great copycat recipe for it!)
  • A Hungarian dish (family recipe) called Chicken Paprikash
  • Babyback ribs (with a sweet brown sugar BBQ sauce) and homemade mac & cheese
  • just about ANYTHING chocolate biggrin.gif

I prefer Italian, Greek, and some Mexican foods. Also like certain "down home" type dishes (chicken and dumplings, stews, pot roast, etc.)

And chocolate is by far my biggest "weakness". Oddly enough living in Belgium, I've found that I don't like that many Belgian chocolates (too sweet not enough "chocolate" flavor). I like Liege style Belgian waffles covered in chocolate though smile.gif Scrumptious! Oh and Krispy Kremes! Can't wait to go home and get some!

Hmmm...If I tell you my favorite dinner, will someone make it for me.. whistling.gif

For starters I need a joint...and a lighter smile.gif

Then for the main course let's go with..
spinach leaf salad with Sun Dried Tomato dressing (along with some tomatos, radishes, and a lil bean sprout)
Boiled Chicken with a hint of honey, salt, LITTLE bit of lemon and pepper.
Brown Rice with steamed veggies on top. (Green veggies are best to offset your brown rice)

Best drink with this dinner:
a crisp sweet wine, I actually don't know what the name of the wine is...but there is an angel on the bottle and it's a white wine.

Oh my God, that's two things that I agree with NuMarx on, I feel faint.

My favorite food: Gravy and Macaroni. Which is what you Yankees would call "tomato sauce and Pasta". Which hurts my tongue to say, the correct word is gravy, okay. On the side I'll take some garlic bread, cheese, and a root beer.

French Fries. Best food ever. Covered in cheese.....

But Im also a big fan of ice cream (Italian ice cream is the best!) and asian foods. Thai and Japanese are my favorite.

Favourite food's Lasagne.
But i'll eat just about anything. w00t.gif

I don't eat health food though, as all they do is take out all the fat and fill up the space with sugar which is actually worse for you than the non-healthy food. So eat what you want and as long as you eat it in moderation that's fine.
Anyone tryed any exotic or strange dishes like octupus, sheep brains or snake eggs etc.

Food Yumm Yummmh!!!

umm....does blood sausage count? It really is delicious, if you can get past the ingredients. Most people love it until they hear what its made of (pig's blood) Being from the country....we grew up on it, never knowing that the rest of the world was disgusted by it.

Big Macs. Love em. With extra sauce

I think you're thinking of spaghetti, I don't think ?I have heard it called tomato sauce and past (which sounds like a discription of sphagetti)

as for my favorite foods:
anything fast, (ramen noodles!) anything easy,(homestyle bakes) pot brownies,(mmmmm!) spaghetti, tuna helper "tettrazini" flavor, PB&J (peanut butter and jelly) pizza (pudge brothers especially) among many others.
