I'm not sure if this is the right place to put this but I didn't want to start a new thread.

Maybe we could all watch the movie and then comment?

I would definitely be interested, especially to discuss Up From Slavery (Wertz). I loved that book. I'd be interested to see how you feel Wertz about Booker T Washington's opinions of the then system of Private Charity v. Modern Day Public "Charity" laugh.gif .

So what's the status of this project, RancidUncle? unsure.gif

Can I do anything to help get it moving?

I've been looking for suitable books. From the liberal side we could read Ralph Nader's Crashing the Party: How to tell the truth and still run for president or Michael Moore's new book. The best thing anyone could do is suggest books he or she thinks will work. We can suggest titles forever so maybe someone should create a poll.

I also just saw the film "Do the Right Thing" directed by Spike Lee. That might tie into race debate.

One of us needs to just write a book.
