I'm getting really tired of all this French bashing.

The country did not want to go to war, their leaders heard this and stood against the war. Therefore they're cowards, right? Because they didn't rush in to attack and country that was little or no threat to their own.

Secondly the vast amount of comments on France's military power. Get off your high horse America. Your entire super power couldn't beat half of a jungle republic. Your military only hits stuff because of the rate of fire. And no you didn't save Europe in World War 2. The French enjoy things other than combat; art, wine, romance etc. Just because they place less emphasis on killing things they can't fight. I WWII the French were still recovering from the ravaged land of WWI and were expecting more trenches. So when the Germans raced towards them in Panzers there wasn't much they could do. Maybe their not a great military country so what, should that matter today?

Thirdly, come on Freedom Fries who do you think your kidding?

In summary:
Why do the French get abuse for standing up to the Hawks, and being right?

Why must ridicule we ridicule France's military strength when the only reason the US army is so powerful is quantity (that is not quality)?

Why Freedom Fries, did opposing you hurt your feelings that much?

You know, I think this is one issue we really need a break from. There are only two members here who have declared their official disgust with France and we have exhausted this in both this thread: Anti French Sentiment and this one: Hating France

There is nothing new to debate at this point.
