Do I believe in God? Yes. Would I tell the truth on the stand? Yes. What I can't believe is the number of cases where "I don't remember" or " I can't recall"--the one I remember the most is the Jenny Jones 
case but that is my opinion. Anyway. how these statements are excusable when pertinent questions are asked to anyone with an IQ over 85 and out comes a "I don't recall" is beyond me. I am interested to hear from attorneys as to the number of cases that actually prosecute perjurers whether it concerns a lapse of memory or a down right false statement.
By removing the hand on the bible ritual we can save time, make non-believers a little more comfortable and remove God from another part of government that represents all people of all religions
