Victoria Sillverwolf

The main word that comes to mind when reading Victoria's posts is - Gentle. Victoria has a way of opining her view so that, if it's an opposing one, you realize you were just handed your medicine in a spoon full of sugar. I admire that in her.

Other words that come to mind when reading Victoria's posts are:

Firm
Balanced
Intellectual

I have had the pleasure of talking with Beladonna in the chatroom, and she is a genuinely nice person with a little bit of that southern charm. mrsparkle.gif She is intelligent, strong in her arguments, and a great addition to America's Debate. Her moderate tendencies appeal to me, and did I mention that she likes Stevie Nicks? You can't go wrong with that. flowers.gif

And I had the pleasure of speaking with Cyan in the chatroom. She was nice enough to not ignore me... laugh.gif and she sounded like a she'd be a fun peron to hang out with. Maybe head out to a goth club wink2.gif . While talking with her I couldn't help but notice that it seemed as though she has made a lot of friends all over the country via the internet, not surpirsing because she had such an easy going personality.

J. Locke: A stalwart ally of mine, very loyal to his convictions, very convincing and well spoken [typed], I'd hate to be a liberal debating him.

I missed nighttimer and Unabomber, sorry guys.
Unabomber: One of the most openminded, and likeable communists I have ever debated with, make that likeable anyone, he is very well researched and a great debater.
Nighttimer: I NEVER agree with you but always respect your civil put, and well thought [but WRONG laugh.gif ] out posts.

CP us.gif ...My closest confidant within the threads. When Abs, Wetz and Platypus have me pinned into a corner, there's no doubt that CP us.gif will always have my back! He has never failed to rescue me or jolt the enemy off of me for long enough to get my feet grounded again. On top of that he is the most patriotic person I know......maybe more so than myself even w00t.gif . His love for America and her people is as real as his his whole hearted belief in his politics. Once he even had the sense to give me a tongue lashing for thinking I might sway over to the libertarians. Good, Good CP us.gif . Carry on then and smash the liberals!

us.gif JohnLocke,

First to welcome me to the site, Johnlocke is a heartening example that conservatism has not been overrun and has some representation on AD.
I can count on JL to represent many of my views in his posts, and often find his posts saying what i was thinking.

JL is an encouragement for me to continue posting on AD, a right facing man in a sea of leftness.

Seems like some of us have been grumpy lately. This thread is great for combating that. flowers.gif

Quane Corsair - one of the few people who took the time to PM me on my birthday. Talk about nice! Thank you so much - it meant a lot to me.

I appreciate the fact that you debate in a civil fashion here on the forum, Quane. Thank you for breaking the stereotype that conservatives are heartless capitalists. laugh.gif

We really appreciate your participation here. smile.gif
Cyan
One of the coolest things about America's Debate is that I have had the opportunity to make some great friends, and Jaime is one of them. I can't tell you how many unique, stimulating, and sometimes bizarre conversations I have had with her. She is a genuinely nice person with a strong resolve, and one of these days we will hang together at Bonaventure cemtery. flowers.gif
quarkhead
Cyan is always fair-minded and positive. I have never once seen her lose her temper. Unlike most of us, I'll bet she has never regretted anything she posted. She is a credit to this site, we are so lucky to have her with us.

Quarkhead. Quarkie. Quark!. mrsparkle.gif

What's not to like about this guy?

You're as friendly as they come, an excellent musician, and a valued member of the staff and the site.

Even people who completely disagree with you, like I do, have a hard time coming up with reasons not to like you.

I'm glad you stumbled upon our little corner of the web.... thumbsup.gif

Mike's got brains and a really nice wife. In addition, he is so darned logical that I feel intimidated when we cross paths in a thread. I'd like to see him take part in the debates more often. I think he's got a lot to say.

Mike is also very even-handed and helpful. You're doing a great job. Thanks! And I like your awesomely moustachioed avatars too!
Ultimatejoe
She delivered a child and that's a whole lot bigger than any kidney stone I could develop. (I'm short on words tonight.)
Paladin Elspeth
UltimateJoe provides us a much needed reality check on the effects of national health care and a government that holds peace as a priority. He refutes the claims of some here that a governmentally administered health care system is necessarily dangerous or inefficient.

I believe UltimateJoe to be a well-educated pragmatist with a strong sense of idealism. He opposes mindless discrimination.

For these reasons, UltimateJoe is a valuable part of America's Debate.

Paladin Elspeth is kind and compassionate...the kind of person who follows her heart. She is open-minded and respectful even to those she disagrees with, and she is a pleasure to debate with. She is definitely true to her namesake. smile.gif
Paladin Elspeth
Cyan delivers not only highly intelligent discourse; she also brings perspective to this forum when she posts. Little wonder that she was chosen to be a moderator.

Cyan is a pretty name, but I don't think of the color blue when I read her posts. Her lively sense of humor makes her postings enjoyable. She is fresh and innovative, someone you want to get to know better. flowers.gif
Paladin Elspeth
I now invite a poster to say something nice about anyone who has not been mentioned or has not received his/her fair share of kudos in this thread.

Please post about anyone else. thumbsup.gif

There's no need. I have something to say about yon fair Paladin Elspeth! smile.gif

A sweet and noble character, as slender in strength and subtle as the sword of her wit, she shines like a light from above, as a guide for all the souls lost in the political maelstrom.
When, in the darkness of your despair, you seek to find a place of calm and tranquility, look towards the light of her uplifted arm where the blade of her courage lingers when all other hope is fled.
Listen to the wind, where the valkyrie sing her praises, "Elspeth. Elspeth, Oh bravest of all! Hark unto the sage's as they mutter amongst their bobbing beards, heed their wisdom as they council her advice.

All things end, and history knows no remorse. But amongst our memories, Paladin Elspeth shall ride for ever, as a champion for all and a voice for the desperate.

A salute, I propose, in acknowledgement of her calm, strength and serenity.

Moif is a wonderful debater. He is always very polite, and I've never seen an abrasive or obnoxious post from him. He adds an intelligent and interesting perspective on how we are viewed overseas. He is a tremendous asset to the forum, and definitely one of the top reasons I enjoy this site! flowers.gif
CruisingRam
I loved her post in "women and abortion" about never sleeping after having a child, man, I laughed my butt off about that one, it is SO TRUE LOL- my wife and I get along really great, our biggest fights? Over who has had the most sleep LOL

I also like the international flavor you bring to your debates despite being married to an American military man, it is so hard to keep from being a base only tunnel vision type (growing up and being in the military, so much revolves around base life and politics, especially for officers wives)
Mike
CruisingRam-

To be quite honest, I don't know much about you. ohmy.gif I don't mean to sound rude. That's actually a good thing! mrsparkle.gif

I show you've made 486 posts, and have successfully avoided a trip across my desktop. That shows you follow the rules, and I appreciate that. Thanks. flowers.gif

Eeyore
Mike,

You are very generous with your time and resources in supporting this forum. You also are very helpful with the more technically challenged of us in terms of posting pictures and finding avatars.

And you have a marvelous collection of hairy pictures. And during a bad day you have the sense to find this thread and post something nice about somebody.
kmsouthern
Eeyore,

I have always enjoyed reading your posts here...sure, we agree on a lot of points, but more than that, the style with which you debate is what I like so much about your posts. I don't know much about you (or anyone else for that matter) personally, but I can tell you're a kind, caring, thoughtful person just by the manner in which you post (either that or you play one on the internet biggrin.gif). You come across as well-versed in both sides of an issue, which shows your eagerness to understand and appreciate others' views (in addition to the other obvious reasons to be familiar with all sides, of course).

And hey...your screenname is EEYORE! What's not to love about that? thumbsup.gif
