Wow Jubes! You're very close on that...
The number of users on the online list is, for the most part, accurate.
Prior to the last upgrade , the number of users in the online list
was slightly inflated as a result of web spiders, but never by more than 10 members I'd imagine.
But now, the list is accurate with one exception. Sometimes, some users are listed twice in the online list. This is not a bug, but is in fact a result of the users ISP's configuration.
I've been watching referrals for about 20 minutes now, and we have had well over a dozen visitors who have found us via Google. The number is accurate...

QUOTE
...can you please explain what the spiders are?
Search engines need to collect sites for their index. They accomplish this using spiders. The spiders surf the web, following links and categorizing the pages it finds.
We are visited regularly by two spiders:
GoogleBot, which is the spider for Google, and
Slurp, which is the spider for the Inktomi network. Inktomi feeds results to About, HotBot, MSN, Overture, and many other search engines.
