My mother wanted some info on her grandfather and got me hooked on genealogy. Found out I'm pretty much a mutt, though more English than anything else, though quite a bit of German with a little Irish. Actually traced the Prater line to the 1400's.

Names in my family tree include Darden,Dearduff, Sanders, Morrison,Tucker, Douglas,Sears,Prater (Prather), Greer, Shoemaker (Schumacher), and Weaver.

I only know a few direct relations: JANES, FRASER, KELSO, LANE.

my indirect (as in cousins) are: PALMA, HELMUTH, and a few others I don't know.

my great aunt is HUTCHINSON

those are all I can think of right now. my grandma janes is supposed to getting the info on my relatives together for me. don't know when I'll have it though.

Seriously, I cannot divulge that information since the names in my family tree are REALLY uncommon - so uncommon, that there are less than 20 people (that I know of from phone records) in the entire U.S. with most of my family's surnames! Crazy, huh? One is Lithuanian, one is Hungarian, and one is German.

But two of the more common ones are Haid and McCann. I don't know much about my father's side as we have no contact with him. I am pretty certain that there is a name pronounced like Dole but not spelled that way in his family tree, but I don't know the proper spelling.

The ones I can think of off the top of my head are Lowe, Verzotti, Barbeiro, Rabinawitzowanawitz... (the last one is a joke, obviously) although there are many, many more

I dont think im related to anyone, my lineage on both sides of the tree is entirely Scottish, but anyway...

On the Spanish side of my family I have Garcia, Butron, and Hernandez.

On the British side I have Maxwell, Starbuck, and a few others from Moby Dick that I can't remember.

I'm also related to King Edward the Longshanks (not that I'm proud of it).

Hey! Hernandez is my last name. You and my husband are related. That's an amazing coincidence! There probably aren't more than 300 million people with that last name.

which means you're also related to edward 2, longshanks son. my relative (the bruce) whooped yours, nanabooboo
