Saudi Arabia has strict rules as to who can enter their "holy" cities. Non-Muslims are prohibited and face arrest if they enter. This is law. Does the Vatican prohibit Muslims from entering their city? no. Do the Americas or Europe prohibit Muslims from entering any of their cities?

are the freedoms that Muslims enjoy in the US the same freedoms a non-muslim, a jew, a hindi would enjoy in Iran, Syria, Jordan, Kuwait, or any other Muslim dominated and lead nation? I don't think so.

Non-Muslims in these nations are referred to as "Dhimmis" or "second class citizens and are treated as such. Many actual LAWS discriminate against non-muslims in these countries.

In Iran if just ONE muslim exists in a non-muslim's family at the time of death, be it only a distant relative, that muslim shall inherit ALL assets. A non-muslim man's marriage to a muslim woman is NOT recognized under Iranian law. Non-muslims are prohibited from employment in any areas of civil service in ANY muslim dominated country.

this topic is about Muslim xenophobia towards non-muslims and not 911 as these practices were in place beforehand.

Are Muslims in the ME more discriminatory and intolerant of Non-Muslims than the western world is of them?

Well, of course they are; but it's hardly a fair comparison. You're mentioning countries whose governments are defined and controlled by fundamentalist Muslims. The Western countries are mostly secular democracies. The tables could easily be turned if the US was, for example, run by the Christian Coalition or some funadamentalist Christian theocracy, and Saudi Arabia was a secular republic.

I'm not defending these repressive regimes by any means. I just wonder, what is the point of your question? You're comparing apples and oranges. I don't believe that Musilms as a rule are more discriminatory than anyone else. Fundamentalist and undemocratic regimes are, however, almost always more discriminatory than secular, democratic governments.

Secular Muslim Nations. I can think of only one. Iraq was secular.

as far as the tables being turned...I know of no Christian fundamentalist run nation existing in this century. the debate is not about the tables being turned however.

When considering ALL the Jihad's put against the west, primarily the US for it's so-called bad "treatment" of muslims, I have to ask myself...WHAT bad treatment?

When I hear about the "zionists", I have to look at the records of Christian, Jewish, hindi intolerance in everyone of these countries INCLUDING pre-war Iraq.

Statistically there are on average 250 million Arabs in the Middle east and North Africa, 85% of whom are Sunni Muslims, 10% Shiia Muslims equaling 95% Muslim. 5% or christian and other. In comparison to the Jews 5 million in the same area 90% of which reside in Israel. Christians equate to 14.5million, with a large majority in Lebanon. "Other" is terms of religion = 0 to 1% here and there.

With these small numbers of non-muslims compared to the total population of ArabMuslims I wonder what exactly are they complaining about in terms of "their" bad treatment?
