Since I teach Military History, and I'm forever a student of history, these things pop up every so often. Today in 1781, Washington formally accepted the surrender of British forces under Lord Cornwallis, ending the last major battle of the American Revolution, and effectively ending the war.

So, HAPPY YORKTOWN DAY!!
