Strange, isn't it?
I mean, I don't know how much worse I have to drive before I anger someone enough that they actually look up the site!
It's not a huge surprise, though. Most people have to see an 'ad' at least four or five times for it to sink in.
I think we've sent out about 50 stickers, so we probably only have a handful of cars sporting the sticker.
Which reminds me....stickers are free...just send me a PM if you want one...

Hit number seven on the following Google search criteria :
political debate forums
I might add I was searching for a good two weeks for a forum I might find appealing and was about to throw my hands up in frustration when I stumbled in here. I am a member of a couple of boards that I still frequent and enjoy but this place is quite out of the norm, and in a good way I might add.
Kudos to every single member here and the admins for fostering intelligent discourse while refusing to tolerate the typical *noise* found at most other boards of this nature.
Cheers !

I actually was looking for some information on Richard Nixon's Foriegn policy so a friend could work on a project he has for school. I am a moderator of a Current Events Forum at a Gaming forum. So if the kids that post there have a question on Government they usually come to me for help.
I believe I came accross a topic started by hugo in the Worst US presidents thread. ]
well the Key words were: Richard Nixon Foriegn Policy spelled exactly as you see it.

For me it was a search engine, at the time I was looking for more links for my own group, which is about freedom of speech. Cant remember the exact words I entered but at the time I was collecting links to various political sites that were specific to American politics.

As for me......it was Yahoo search. I was sick and tired of all the other debates in dcsdpolitical report and everyone personally attacking you if you supported one candidate or one party.
America's debate is great and I hope to get some of my friends to join!

I used Google to search for debates. AD came up and I read some of the debates and I said to myself, I have to set some one these people straight
No kidding,AD has been very helpful in gaining more knowledge of what the other side thinks. And sometimes their facts cause me to stop and think twice about my views

As I recall, I entered "forum rules no more than posts per day" in my AOL search engine. I am a Whistle Stopper refugee where one member has over 50 ppd. Several members are in the 20's and 30's. Even though you don't have a maximum ppd. AD's rules page was about the 8th entry.

I know I was searching for information on some topic that caught my eye, don't ask what the topic was because I can't remember. I probably used Yahoo or Google, but even that is difficult to recall since I use both pretty frequently. After I read that post I started looking around at other posts and decided I wanted to be here!

I was looking on Google for: neo-conservative conservative definitions
and this site popped up in the results.
I was looking for information for a post in another forum. I was really intrigued by this forum because you guys have such active participation from so many different viewpoints. It is fun to debate with people that actually disagree with you in a civil way.

There are at least two others here besides myself, that were on another forum that was imploding, due to 'exhausting the debater instead of the issues', horrible name calling and bias.
I had to learn a better way to debate, quite quickly, but AD has been a relief from so many sites that die because of lack of strict moderation and adherance to debate of subject, not killing the messenger. When everyone dumbs down to calling each other idiots, you cant get much done. Ive seen others from AD on some of these sites too, but this one remains the most reasonable and productive.
I admit that I wasnt all that happy about it at first, because it meant that my addiction to political debate would have no clear end, to the chagrin of my partner who (finally after accepting my faults) thinks its funny that the continual round of issues never ends for me. In his words, "its always something".

I was working on a paper for World History. The paper was on The Enlightenment-basically the first time that conservatives were separated from Liberals. My teacher grades on your Works Cited page-not the paper itself, so I was looking for interesting cites that I could use... and this page came up.
I decided it would be a cool way to:
1) keep up with politics and what's going on in the US.
2) hone my debating skills.
So I joined, and... well... here I am! lol

Yeah, a previous fourm I was apart of had ( perhaps temporarily) shut down due to management conflicts (i.e. Admins got better real life jobs which took up their time for keepin up the fourm) so after awhile, I got antsy and I went to my homepage (cnn.com) or Yahoo, I cant remember and typed in something like "political debate fourm(s)" and I believe I saw a link after a few other hits looked lame to some post perhaps within the fourm. I went staright to the home page, chcked it out and (although the previous fourm I was in had FAR more cursing and vehement debate [the cursing was far more prevalent the the vehemence, I assure you] ) I found this fourm to be rather intelligent and classy (not that I dont mind the lack of from time to time, I mean thats why I have a strike for the profanity bit,

) But I'm really glad that I am able to rant and constructivly tell people that they're insane, altogether ignoring the voices in my own head.

I just found this forum a few days ago when I was looking for the definition of a neoconservative on Google. For some reason, I actually stayed long enough to look around some posts. I was surprised that things are kept so civil here. In most of the political forums/boards I go to, many topics often degenerate into off-topic barroom brawls. Hopefully, I'll be able to post something substantial when my workload gets lighter.
Oh, and this is my first post, so...
Shalom!

A friend of mine from another site recommended this site to me. We have a debate site, but it is filled with juvenile behavior.
I have to really be careful here (I'm rather profane and that can be a problem here, LOL! I don't notice when I do it...) but it is civilized and very interesting. I mostly lurk.
