As I am reading the latest posts I am forced to conceed I have been rude to people. However, I have come to the conclusion that all I am is perpetuating the hatred here. I've had enough. I'm sure the left will enjoy this, enjoy the world you think you live in and I will move on in reality. "Had to get a jab in". Have fun all, the message boards are great guys keep up the great work.

I am distressed to hear you are (or have) left the forum. Please reconsider. Your comments were bright and thoughtful, and it simply will not be the same without them. I have been reading, and really don't see any hatred. There is a lot of baiting that goes on in these things from many members. I wouldn't call it hate.

Oops - I'd missed this (thanks, Jaime). If, indeed, Darcaine is leaving/has left, it's a pity. S/he will be missed.

Darcaine: If you're lurking, allow me to say that, in my short time here, I've enjoyed our brief exchanges and was looking forward to a bit more sparring and occasional agreement. You were one of the more articulate (and vociferous) voices here. As one frequently defined as posting from "the left", I for one am not enjoying this. Trust me, I've posted on several forums and, while you may have been blunt, critical and, possibly, rude on occasion, you are not one of those posters who is deliberately disruptive. I have encountered others elsewhere who resorted to personal attacks (far worse than anything you've posted here) merely to derail threads, deflect ciritcism, and, ultimately, stifle debate. You are decidedly not one of those. Any of your perceived slights of other participants here were in the context of the debate and were certainly not ad hominem. That being the case, your tone can, I think, be written off as a heated - or even passionate - defense of your positions. And that is certainly no reason to excuse yourself from the forum. I hope you will reconsider.
