I don't know if this a proper or debateable topic, or maybe I just am a little out of the main stream, but when Clinton took Office, Welfare was going to be restructured and overhauled, to get a lot of people off it and back into the work force! Now, It seems that the fluctuation of the economy and unstability of the job market,(as it stands today,...........WHO KNOWS) more people are on it than before!

Some people need it and I know that, but DAMN! mad.gif
"I walked into Walmart and sat down to tie my shoe laces, I could not believe the amount of people paying with food stamps and other types of State funds."

Just want to know if I was loosing touch or are things that bad now! ermm.gif

By the way, I was laid off and forced to quit my job almost 2 yrs ago, I can't receive any Federal or State benefits, and I'm not eligible for any other help,.............. so I am back in school studiing a new trade(doing well I might add). And I am not a young kid anymore!

Not mad I can't get it,just confused why a lot have it and don't need it?
