The chat room is back in action. I'm not sure for how long it was down, but it's fixed now!

In the future, we plan on having live chats to coincide with noteworthy events, like the state of the union address, elections, and major speeches. Keep an eye on the calendar events!

After each chat, the transcripts will be posted in a yet-to-be-created category, probably called "Chat transcripts".

The chat room uses the free ChatSpace Java Client and requires a small, one-time download.

I hope to see everyone in there!

On another note, I've noticed a few people using my 'personal' start page, so I decided to put a link to it in the menu. Feel free to use it. I'm open to suggestions for news-related sites to be added. NOTE: It won't work in Netscape. Sorry .

If anyone is interested in trying out the chatroom to see if it works, I will be in there tonight starting at 9:00 p.m. EST. (An admin needs to be in the room to open it up, I think....Mike?)

If that is not a good time for you, PM Mike or I and we can work something out.

I would like to try and work out any bugs before the scheduled State of the Union Address Chat.
