Hmmm...
I
think that these are browser issues.

I'm hoping that my fix for the second problem will fix the first.

There are a few things that come to mind on this one...

Oh the other weird thing is now my pages don't refresh when I click a link (not using the back button). Say I click on home I have to refresh the page myself. If I click on a topic it only shows what I read earlier, I have to refresh the page to see the new posts. Is anyone else experiencing this?
Jaime has this problem from time to time using Mozilla Firebird. Assuming you're using Internet Explorer like 90% of the people out there, try this:
At the top in Internet Explorer, click
Tools->
Internet Options->
Settings (by Temporary Internet Files)
Check for newer versions of stored pages?... is usually set to "Automatically" by default. The problem is that, like most of Internet Explorer, this feature is buggy. Click "Every visit to the page" to force Internet Explorer to look for a new copy of the page for every request.
Additionally, while you are in there, I would drastically reduce the amount of disk space to use for temporary internet folders. If you have a big hard drive, it is probably currently set in the hundreds of megs, if not gigs. Move it down to about 50 megs, and your browser will spend less time checking your hundreds of megs of files on your local computer and more time downloading the actual page you requested.

Oh the other weird thing is when I log on now, I go straight to a topic, even though I wasn't in one?
That's a good one...
If you are viewing a topic and are told to log in, or hit the 'log in" button while viewing a topic, it
should take you back to that topic. However, if you are viewing the board index, it should just take you right back to the board index.
I suspect this is caused by your browser, and will hopefully be fixed if you change the cache setting above.
If this doesn't work, let me know which browser and version you are using and I can research this some more.
