“Perdue seems like a nice guy, but I still haven’t seen what his vision for Georgia is,” Andy Feibus, an Atlanta software consultant, wrote last month in a message posted to an Internet discussion group. “On the bright side, he’s definitely not a grandstander. I may not see a vision, but I also don’t see him thumping the table over a non-issue,” Feibus wrote.

Denise Townley of Athens, who also posted a message to the same discussion group, wrote, “He hasn’t really given me a reason to form a mob and recall him yet.”

It's a small first step... blush.gif

I just thought I'd share this with AD, hopefully I'm not being conceited. thumbsup.gif

So this reporter had joined AD and PM'd me and asked if I'd like to be interviewed and I agreed. That small quote was the result of answering about 5 minutes of questions. rolleyes.gif

The G8 Summit is coming to an isolated island about 70 miles south of Savannah - think we could find an interested ear or two there? w00t.gif

Congrats, Billy. This is really cool - thanks for sharing.

By the way, the other AD member being quoted is our very own amf. thumbsup.gif

Yeah - Bush is way too busy playing video games and napping and Blair is actually governing a country. whistling.gif America's Debate does get a lot of traffic from .gov addresses, though...

Hey, Jaime, will we get a heads-up on any subpeonas delivered to you?

Jaime
For the record, we would fight any subpoenas harder than any fight we've ever put up (fyi - we've never had any contacts with any government entities requesting info).

All of your privacy is of the utmost importance to us and we will do everything possible (including sitting in jail on contempt charges) not to hand over any of your information.

Don't get spooked by the .gov guests. My hunch is that most of them are just like you & me - sitting at work, surfing the net, stealing from their employer ohmy.gif
DreamPipEr
Phew!!! Actually I was just kidding, I would certainly hope our freedom to speak would apply here! thumbsup.gif

You never know who is reading these boards and it's one of the reasons Admin strives so hard to keep the level of debate very high. This incident alone is proof positive that we are read by a wide variety of people, many who don't actually participate except to read and you never know what influence our words might have on policy.

Congratulations amf and Billy Jean. You represent AD very well.

Heh heh - as if I needed another reason to remind folks to use proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Bela's right - you never know who may be reading - or better yet - citing your work. smile.gif
