Some people vote for the one that best stand up for their beliefs. Some vote for the one in their party, just because it is their party. Others vote for the one that they think will benefit them the most. I try to vote for the one that stands up for my beliefs but the choices are not always very good.

Difficult. I choose on both. I never vote for something because it is the party line. Often if this is the reason given I generally think it is wrong. It has to fit with my morals and what I beleive the best course of action. I try to find a candidate who best represents me as a whole. Very difficult to find for anyone I would say. A little republican here (Low taxes) a little democrat (offer aid to those who are willing to work to better themselves. Republican again (cut off the slackers completely. I have NO sympathy. Unfortunatly the downside is I get stuck with a whole lot of extras I never agreed to and generally feel I got screwed and swear to never again vote.

I agree with you on this point. I'm looking right now to find the candidate that resembles me the most. And it really is not easy.
