Browsing through CNN.com as I usually do every day, I spotted a story that scared the livin daylights outta me.

http://www.cnn.com/2004/US/Southwest/01/30...e.ap/index.html

A Texas raid in April gave up two pounds of cyanide and other chemicals, 500K rounds of ammo, pipe and remote control bombs, machine guns as well as racist and anti-government literature. Feds believe that conspirators are still out and about and are investigating as to why they were stockpiling these weapons.

The question was alluded to in the article and I wanna bring it to the fine folks of AD.

Is the government not focusing enough on domestic threats such as this? What can we do within reason to focus more on nabbing homegrown terrorists?

As for myself, and especially after reading this, I believe we aren't focusing enough on these homegrown wackos. And imagine how many more are out there. The FBI has to lead the charge and start cracking down on those who are affiliated with groups who promote racist and anti-government ideologies. That's not to say that people are not free to think as they wish. Im just calling a spade a spade.

Your thoughts?.......

I'm sure the government is very proactive in looking for homegrown nutballs just as much as they are the foreign-grown nutballs

Do what we are currently doing with overseas terrorists. Cut off funding, conduct raids, etc.

I think the focus today is much better than it was previously. It would almost have to be. Just look at the Oklahoma City bombing. I'm still of the belief that there was a foreign hand on the controls there. A reporter named Jenna Davis did extensive work and it raised many questions. Those questions were virtually ignored by the FBI, even after Sen Arlen Specter asked for a reply.

Just mentioning it here has my blood boiling. I'm going to head off and see if there's anything new on this.
