Religion continues to play a positive role in society. It has helped a lot of people to give up their bad habits.A lot of people would agree that their faith in religion has helped them face their problems with courage. But how far should government be guided by religious ideas?

Welcome harikrishnan, you're obviously new around here.

The moderators are probably going to close your topic because the debate point is vague. And also because it walks the fine line between political debate and religious debate. We don't do religious debate in this forum.

You might find the Constitutional Debate section interesting. Welcome, and keep experimenting with the tools like spell check, preview post, the code buttons at the top of the reply window.

Just to stay on topic: I voted that the government should have no role in spreading religion.

CLOSED. (Thanks for the help, perspective flowers.gif )

We don't host such philosophically based religion debates. Perhaps you could take this over to beliefnet.com to have this debate.

For future reference, you will need a CLEAR question to debate in order for any serious debate here.
