O.K., I've had it with whole Bachelor, Bachelorette thing. I have a hard time believing that people are seriously looking for marriage on that show--since when do you determine someone being a good marriage partner through watching prospective mates strut around at a pool? Since when do people go horseback riding through the Alps?

My proposal to reform the show

1.)Make the "dates" last a week and have them "parent" children from 9 months to 7 years. Make one of the three kids a child with ADD/ADHD. See how committed to children your potential spouse really is!

2.)Have the prospective couple work a grueling 50 hour a week job and expect them to schedule doctor's visits, school meetings, as well as make baby-sitting arrangements when the child is sick.

3.)With a limited income, have them see if they can pay their bills and not rip each other's heads off.

4.)Have them spend(with the kids) two weeks at both "grandparents" house and really watch the interaction!(i.e.-fireworks)

questions

1.)Would you like to see these proposals enacted?

2.)What modifications would you make?

3.)Do I just need to lighten up?
