Just wondering out loud why have a Principles and Personal Philosophy section that encourages.. "Debate issues involving personal values and philosophies" and then close threads within this section for becoming too personal.

Kind of difficult to discuss personal philosophies and values and not personalize them.

There is a very clear difference between debating personal beliefs and personally attacking others for theirs. One can easily stick to the issues without asking belittling personal questions like, "How could you believe such dribble?" (just a hypothetical example, no one has stated those specific words in my recent recall).
