smile.gif Would it be possible to add "libertarian" to our choices for "politics" in our profiles?

Many of us "libertarians" (small "l") feel falsely pigeonholed by the "left/right, liberal/conservative" political spectrum. While Socialists and Communists may feel comfortable declaring some degree of "liberal" and some "constitutionalists" may feel comfortable with some degree of "conservative" many of us libertarians consider ourselves to be neither "liberal" or "conservative". Nor are we "moderate" or "independent" in our "politics". And while I understand that we can choose "Libertarian" for our "party" designation, we "libertarian" "Libertarians" are left without an accurate description of our "political" leanings. As are the "libertarian" leaning Republicans, Democrats, and Independents of which there are many I'm sure.

blink.gif Wow! I know that was quite a mouthful, and I don't mean to open up a semantic can of worms, but i think it would really be more informative about where a person is coming from when debating. Thank you in advance for your consideration! mrsparkle.gif ......Oh, and Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers and took them to market on a rubber baby buggy bumper while She sells sea shells by the seashore. laugh.gif

We discussed this once about a year ago and I don't think we're ready to change our opinion yet. You can review the old thread here: link.
