You know how we have specific forums for specific political parties? I would like to see specific ones for major religions such as Christianity, Muslim, Buddism, Hindu and so on.

There are several reasons why we have a single "Religion" forum, and not a forum for each religion.

The first and most obvious is that there are so many religions out there that we would need dozens of forums. Really, would we do one for each religion practiced in the US? That number is surely in the thousands.

While we do have a Religion forum, religion is clearly not the focus of this site. The focus is Politics and News. When religion and current events cross, we need a place for those topics. But this is certainly not the place to debate intimate details of one's religion.

Another reason we do not focus on religion is purely out of my own lack of interest in religion. I have no desire to moderate a religion forum. I am a politics junkie. I am a religious know-nothing. That is clearly not a mixture for success.
