Ah! Good to be back at AD, if only briefly! I am staying at my mother-in-law's temporarily and she has internet access at home. Since coming back to Arizona, I've been staying with my mother in the house they are renting until their new house is completed. They should be getting their certificate of occupancy in a week or so, so I'm staying here with my daughter until they are moved in so we are out of the way. It is going to be absolutely beautiful once it's finished!
My book is going at a snail's pace, but once I get a little more time to myself (lots of running around and things for the parents' new home), it shouldn't be long before I can get a book proposal sent out to publishers! I am researching non-fiction book proposal writing right now and my goal is to have it completed by the end of May (the book proposal, that is). My initial goal was April, but that just won't happen with as much things as I've got on my plate right now.
My step-father's pipeline company just landed a HUGE contract through a Phoenix metro area city for their emenergency services (he does storm, water, fire, and sewer pipes) and he's going to put me to work writing/reading/deciphering contracts and pretty much any computer work he's got. Plus, I'm creating his webpage...AND I'm photographer AND webmaster for my husband's best friend's website. He just opened the only Black-owned art gallery in Phoenix' art district (and there are LOTS of galleries here) ths past Friday and I'm about to take pictures of the artists' work and start setting up their site. So I'm a busy gal.
Oh yeah...and my bad news (well, it's bad news in my mind's eye anyway) - the Army is sending us to upstate NY once my husband is finished with his new training. It's bad news for two very big reasons: first is the high likelihood of Middle East deployment for the husband and second is the freezing weather that my Arizona blood won't take kindly to in the least.

But as always, I will try to look for the positives and make the best of it.
I should be getting ADHD analysis within the next month or so (waiting until the house is finished so my mother can come with me and tell them how hyper and ADHD-seeming I am and have always been. If you don't recall, I was tested as a kid but since I was: "too smart", not a trouble-maker, and a girl, they decided it was not likely to be ADHD...but now that I'm an adult and have read up on ADHD quite a bit, I'm as certain as a non-medically trained person can be that I indeed have ADHD. So wish me luck with all that an ADHD diagnosis and potential treatment entails!
Anyway, I just wanted to pop in here (Casual Convo) with a small (relative to my usual posts, that is) update post before I started posting on actual political forums - wouldn't want to startle anyone with my presence after so long!
I have my eye on a topic already...
I hope to be somewhat frequent this week, but I will be busy working on the Art Gallery website while I have net access...
I miss my AD!!!!!!!!!
