While this may be a nice feature, the simple fact is that the major news networks don't like to stream their news for free.
Programming something like this would be way beyond my ability, so it is unlikely we will see a feature like this any time in the near future.
If you have a PC, I recommend a program called the Netropa Internet Receiver.
It is completely free, has very little advertising, and can pull news from hundreds of sources.
