So, my dad and I got to talking a little earlier this month and somehow got onto the topic of Black Holes and White Holes. This particular topic had been shortly discussed in one of my Popular Science mags I recieve every once in a while. The theory presented in the magazine and also a theory I have heard that has been juggled with for a while is the possibility of black holes being gateways to the dimension, universes, or galaxies.
My father and I both agree that this is impossible. The force of gravity acting upon the materials within the black hole smash everything down to sub-atomic size. This obviously obliterates the objects and there is no actual evidence of them being 'transported', if you will, to anywhere.
Secondly, there have been records that show that as the balck holes age, they gain mass. If a white hole (Theoretical point where matter entering a black hole would emerge into another galaxy, universe, dimension, what have you) did exsist, the black would not gain mass.
If white holes did exsist, we would probably not have the super black hole that is the center of our galaxy at this very moment. Assuming white holes did exsist, our galaxy's core would never have gotten big enough to hold itself together, black matter or no.
So, the debate topic I present to you all: White holes, do they exsist and what kind of supporting evidence or theories would help explain your statement?
