In an effort to bring some reconciliation to a nominally divisive topic, I would like to open this up again. Also, I missed the last few debates on this topic.

Questions:

1. Isn't evolution a form of creation?

2. Conversely, can creation be thought of as a step in evolution (i.e. evolution cannot proceed without the creation of new life)?

3. Is polarization on this topic and others like it inherent in human nature?

My answers: Affirmative on all three....

I dont think they allow these debates here anymore (too embarrassing for the non-creationist conservatives imo) but of course these two ideas are compatible for many christians.

The Catholic church for example has no problem with evolution and the pope has admitted the evidence for evolution is quite strong. Believing both is called theistic evolution.

CLOSED.

Creationism requires we debate religion, and we don't host such debates. Please check out www.beliefnet.com or debatingchristianity.com smile.gif
