Much has been written about a possible McCain vice-presidency. Some dismiss it outright, but just the possibility of it is very intriguing and can provide us with some great "what ifs" Here are mine:

Would you vote for a Kerry-McCain ticket?

If so, what should the party do when Kerry's two terms are up and it's McCain's turn to run?

In one of President Bush's ads, John Kerry is portrayed as the most liberal member of the senate. I think John McCain could help with the undecided as well as some of the moderate republicans who disagree with Bush's government spending. I just wonder if there are enough similarities between McCains and Kerrys positions on the issues.

Possibly, my question would be, what would having McCain as a vice president offer Kerry? I know there has been a lot of talk about this, but I have really understood the reasons behind this desire.

I would think the Democratic party wouldn't be obliged to do anything if he was still registered as a Republican. Exactly what would happen, would depend on what party McCain aligned himself to after the term was up.

John McCain (R-Ariz.) on several occasions, the most recent in the past two weeks, informed sources said yesterday. But the conversations have gone nowhere because McCain believes such a bipartisan ticket would not work and could weaken the presidency, they said

I'm not certain how McCain believes this would create a constitutional crisis, it isn't as if we've never had a split-ticket executive branch before. mad.gif mad.gif
