This is a spin-off from the "How Much Torture" thread. Even if this thread's lifespan is short, I believe that it should be by itself, as it has the potential to mess up the other thread.

Part of an interrogator's skill involves knowing just how much a human being can take. Sometimes the interrogator miscalculates.

hmmm.gif Questions for the Legal Eagles and those in the know:

1. What is done, and what are the legal considerations when a prisoner of war or a detainee who is being tortured dies?

2. Do the families of the prisoner have any legal recourse?

3. Are there penalties for the torturers?

huh.gif Question for anyone:

4. Is this good practice, and if so, for whom?

This seems to be more of a request for information than a debate for us. PM a staffer if you feel this interpretation is off. smile.gif
