He wasn't an entertainer or a political figure, but Trent Dyer touched many lives in Yuma. He was a 4 year old boy that was diagnosed with cancer last year. The local paper printed a story about him, and it listed his dreams. The local community did everything they could to help them come true, and it reminded me that whatever our political and social differences may be, we all share a common goal. Everyone wants what's best for ourselves, our families, our communities, our nations, and our world. His battle inspired our community to act, and today we say goodbye to this little boy. He is no longer suffering, and that was his final wish.
QUOTE
"He told me he was tired," Dyer said. "He said ‘I don't want to fight any more. I'm tired. I want to go home.’ ”
