I heard this great story on the radio about an hour ago. There is a man that is suing New York City for $1,000,000. On 9/11 he's claims that he was in NYC and when the disaster happened a fireman running toward the towers pushed him resulting in a broken arm. I hate to say but from a legal standpoint he should win. I'm not saying he should get the money but I'm afraid he may profit from this. Maybe someone out there can give me the answer to what will happen in this case.

Taking this into consideration how do we view our economy. Is this proof of a slowing economy or just another freak case like the suing of burger king...

Is the fireman who pushed him still alive? The guy suing is a dirtball. He walked away with his life that day and he is asking for a million dollars for a broken arm? Uggghh. blink.gif

The fireman did live.

The fireman did live.

That's good to know. Still, I think the case should be dismissed.

I agree. I think the sleazball lawyer who took his case is as much to blame as the guy himself for giving the case any sense of legitimacy. Just like the idiot suing Burger King for hot coffee. If you are too stupid to realize that there are certain risks you take if you try to pour hot coffee into another cup while you are sitting in your car, the you should be denied service. Maybe they should have a separate coffee pot that is not "too hot" for those that cannot handle themselves. dry.gif It is almost as bad as fat people suing McDonalds. Like if there was not a McDonalds they would not have gone to Burger King or Jack in the Box or gone to Wal Mart and gotten frozen pizzas and the like. And like I said, the lawyers that take up these cases and waste valuable court time should be given a censure of a fine or something.

I agree with all you've said. But it was also McDonalds that was sued over the coffee.

Man, we've got TOO many lawyers here since someone was willing to take up this case.
