I just saw this on Google News-Marlon Brando died at UCLA Medical Center today. down.gif

I really wanted to make the topic "He got an offer he couldn't refuse" but I thought some might see it as poor taste.

RIP, Brando.

God must have wanted a great actor up in Heaven so he called for The Godfather.

Marlon Brando in his prime was the consumate actor. Hands down.

Brando was pretty intense. Streetcar and Waterfront just couldn't be remade on film.
Even bloated as he was for Apocolypse he was great.

"You don't understand! I could've had class. I could've been a contender. I could've been somebody, instead of a bum, which is what I am."

Truly powerful. A message which applies to everyone at some point.

A legend leaves the stage for the last time. flowers.gif

I remember him on Larry King: Live when he reached over and said, "Give us a kiss," and planted one on Larry's mouth! He was quite a character.

Marlon Brando left us with some really memorable characters. He will be remembered fondly by many of us. flowers.gif

He also looked pretty ill for a long time. I don't know what was wrong with him other than being very obese but honestly, I'm surprised that he lasted this long.

It was very sad to hear this news on the radio yesterday. Although he had been unwell for some time, it is always a shock to learn that someone you have seen in so many movies and loved has passed on. sad.gif
