Are you happy with the decision of the judge that Martha Stewart will not be granted a new trail?
I for one am.
This trial has cost a lot already. The evidence was presented that she was found guilty.
I am so sick of people like Martha that has the bucks to keep trying for a new trail when they are guilty as sin and makes us tax payers keep paying for her re-trial. Martha you played now you pay!!

I don't see why she even bothered-- it was my understanding that the Secret Service laboratory tech's testimony related more to Peter Bacanovich's case than Martha's. I'm just glad that I won't have to hear about the whole thing after the sentencing (oh who knows, they'll probably do a docu-drama of some sort about it); I was sick and tired of hearing about it from day one. Perhaps now that they have the little fish out of the way, they can move on to the real criminals-- like Kenny Boy (now, that's a trial I'm actually interested in).

With all of the recent scandals involving as yet unindicted corporate biggies (read: Ken Lay, who was just indicted), I initially wondered if Martha Stewart was being unfairly singled out for some reason.

Then I heard about the testimony and found out (with everyone else) the type of person Martha Stewart is. She clearly felt that due to her privileged status, she was and should be above the law.

She needs to spend a goodly but not extreme amount of time in jail. The press also needs to leave her alone to contemplate her new quarters and position in society.
