The America's Debate forum offers several options for citing quotations from other members.
Quoting a Single Post

Quoting a single post is very simple-- there is only one step.

To quote a single post by another member, simply click the button found at the bottom right corner of the post:

After clicking the Reply button, a new post screen will load, and the post you would like to quote will be pre-quoted on the post form.

Quoting Multiple Posts

Quoting multiple posts is slightly more involved than quoting a single post, but is still quite simple.

You may have already noticed the button next to each post. This is the MultiQuote button.

If you click the MultiQuote button, it will turn green, like this:

Follow these steps to quote multiple posts:

1. Click the "Quote" button next to each post you would like to quote. You may select posts from different pages within a topic, or different topics altogether. This feature works forum-wide.

2. Click the "Add Reply" button, or the "New Topic" button as you normally would to add a reply or start a new topic.

Each post that you selected (green button) will be pre-quoted on the post form that loads.

As always, feel free to start a topic in Comments and Suggestions if you require further assistance.

I've noticed some of you have commented on your difficulties in using the new quote feature. Just bumping this in hopes to help. flowers.gif

Just another bump to this quote tutorial for some of the newer (and a few of the older wink2.gif) members.

If you have any questions about this feature, the AD staff would be happy to help you out. biggrin.gif

I know the quote feature on our forum is a little odd and can take some getting used to by new folks. This tutorial is very helpful, so I thought a little bump couldn't hurt. flowers.gif

I'm bumping this topic up because it seems some of our newer folks are having trouble using the quote feature. Please see Mike's instructions above, they are spot on. Also, be sure to preview your post before submitting it to make sure your quotes are done properly. Thanks smile.gif
