This is set up as Poll Only.

In another thread, a Republican AD member had made some arguments which elicited the following response:

QUOTE(Aquilla @ Oct 13 2004, 04:14 AM)
This is a very strange argument coming from someone who identifies themselves as a "Republican".

Well, a season of "strange arguments" started with Ron Reagan, the son of President Reagan speaking to the Democratic National Convention, and of course continued with Zell Miller's speech at the Republican party.

Doonesbury has included some interesting URLs in his strips this week.

On Monday, his link led us to an article in the Union Leader, John Eisenhower: Why I will vote for John Kerry for President. Yes the last name is familiar. John identifies himself in the article as the son of President Eisenhower, and tells why he plans to vote for John Kerry this year.

In today's Doonesbury column, a link is shown for Why conservatives must not vote for Bush by Doug Bandow, (described in Doonesbury as a "Reagan Republican") an article in Salon, which begins with this introduction,

Editor's Note: Welcome, Doonesbury fans, to Salon! We usually require readers to watch a short ad or join in order to view a complete article, but we thought this story was just too important, so we're giving you full access without further ado.

I'm certain that avid researchers on AD can find any number of sources for Democrats for Bush, Republicans for Kerry, and john Wayne fans for Nader, but I believe in the secrecy of the Ballot Box. If someone wants to start a thread of cross-over voters, and why they are crossing over, that's for another thread.

Close the curtain and cast your vote, as if the election were being held today. and no one could see how you vote.

Moved to Casual Conversation since Curmudgeon doesn't want us to debate anything. Please vote in the poll.
