A crazy lil idea crossed my mind while I was talking with Cube today. Here's the scenario...
One of the candidates for President of the United States has snuck out late at night and hit a secluded bar , coffee joint, etc. nearby. It's sort of dead and there isn't much of anybody around. You realize who he or she is and, seeing the oppertunity for a once in a lifetime conversation minus the media blitz and unwanted attention, you offer he or she a drink, cup of coffee, etc. and ask if you could chat just for a little while. He or she takes you up on that offer and you begin to talk. One on one. No party rhetoric. No sloagneering. Just a chat between a concerned voting citizen and an in cognito politician about issues you want to talk about.
Who are you talking to and what questions would you ask?
Ok... before we get the proverbial ball rolling, I want to establish some guidelines...
1. He or she does not have to be the person you're voting for. They do have to be running though.
2. As I said above, no "sloganeering" or party rhetoric or agressive tones. You're not Wolf Blitzer doing a primetime and you're not Paul Begala on Crossfire. You offered them a drink, make them not regret it.
3. You're limited to five questions, closing time is only an hour away, make this opportunity count!

I'd ask John Kerry a few questions:
1. If you were no longer involved in politics what occupation could you see yourself doing?
2. What is your favorite childhood memory?
3. What is your favorite song?
4. What is one thing you would like to change about yourself?
5. If you could go back in history and meet anyone (except former presidents or Jesus Christ) who would you choose, and why?
