It's just after midnight...time to get the party started!!
It's such an important day that the solar system decided to throw a Lunar Eclipse in your honor!
I know a lot of you don't see or hear from Mike much. Since it's his birthday, we decided to unchain him from his chair and allow him to stop tweaking the forum for today.
Mike does incredible work here. America's Debate simply would not exist without him.
If you ever have the honor of meeting Mike in person you'll find he is an incredibly intelligent, kind, humorous person and a very loyal friend. We have been together for a long time and he is my partner in everything. I can't imagine my world without him. I love you so much, Mike. Happy Birthday.

Here's to one of the founding fathers (the founding father?) of this great site I happened to stumble upon while typing in "political debate" in Yahoo and finding a link to some random thread. I feel this site and the people that make up this great community have made me grow intellectually and I have to say Mike that it is in part due to an idea you and Jaime had while sitting around a poker table in the wake of 9-11. It was your ambition that ultimately proved to the world that there is more to debating than the words "rag-heads" and "f- you, you f-ing moron". Here's to many more great years (behind your monitor, 100 hours a week, constantly fixing bugs and creating scripts, stopping to partake in the occasional Forum Chat!)
(And go easy on him this time 'round, Jaime!)

I met Mike when he was transferred into my Kindergarten class. I knew the moment we met (even though I was 5), that he would accomplish great things. And look, I was right!

Wow! Thanks everyone! It makes me feel so good to have so many people wish me a happy birthday. 
Jaime and I had a nice relaxing evening, starting with Chinese food and ending with a trip to the ocean to watch/photograph the eclipse.
It's kind of strange actually. Last year, my birthday fell on the time change, so it lasted an extra hour. This year, we get a full lunar eclipse. I don't think I want to know what will happen next year.
Thank you everyone for the birthday greetings, and thank you for participating making AD the amazing success that it is. Without such great members, well, I wouldn't get so many birthday greetings!
