Not the story but I do about the situation. I am really interested in how this plays out. What can Bush do?

Bush say's Iraq is a bigger threat, that Korea can be handled diplomatically. But how?

He won't negotiate because it's what Clinton did and he would rather die than duplicate Clinton. BUT even if he wanted to negotiate that would be stupid too, since the last time they only lied to us.

So, what is he doing about Korea? What would YOU do?

I think North Korea is pressing its buttons and feeling pretty good about their position in foreign policy. It is a crumbling economy with a big bag of weapons. I think North Korea's neighbors should have first say.

If South Korea is unhappy with our presence, then let's begin to withdraw.
If Japan doesn't need us there then let them take the lead in negotiations.

The problem is that we already put the big black hat of axis of evil on them and they have the audacity to boldly play the part.

If they are supporting terrorism that is targeting the United States we need to step in. Otherwise, our only policy should be to offer incentives to stay out of the nuclear game.

I think we should threaten them with sanctions and negotiate from there.

Bush is one step ahead...he already used the sanction card from what I have heard. That's when their next step was to reactivate their plant.

Who thinks North Korea wants to risk being a parking lot so they can show how great North Korea is. Even a crazy maniac wouldn't do that. Why can't we use dimplomacy?

We tried that before, they lied.

A government with a starving citizenry on the verge of revolt, has nothing to loose. Why not go out with a bang? Their communism is collapsing, and near complete sanctions may spell "GAME OVER".

Bush had better leave them alone, they are much to volitile. As much as I'd like to see those commie bastards go down in flames, I dont want to see americans die for this when the NK gov is already unravelling.
