Many Americans were very sympathetic towards the airline industry and were pleased the government helped the airlines through a tough period following 9-11. But now in more normal circumstance it seems airlines welcome bankruptcy as employees demand better benefits. Over the holidays many air travelers were devastated by lack of service related to the season, weather related delays, but sadly by disgruntle airline employees with attitudes or not showing up for work at all.
The question for debate is:
Should the government use its taxing power to seize money from taxpayers and transfer it, partly as a gift and partly as a loan to the airlines to keep them afloat?http://money.msn.co.uk/investing/Insight/S...nes/default.asp
