Since the film was made one of the eyewitnesses was found shot dead.

I wish I could see that. Mai Lai (sp?) had women and children from a village. These were prisoners & possibly terrorists from a prison. I don't think that it's fair to compare the two. There's just no comparing any aspect of Vietnam to what's happening now. No way.
War crimes? Jesus, that'll be the day. We won't even hold Israel accountable for war crimes so who the hell is going to step up and shove our noses in it? (if it happened the way the summary would have you believe)
I've read a lot about "collateral damage" during our campaign & I think this story is the least alarming. Hearing claims of gunships firing on fleeing women and bombs landing in the middle of villages crammed with children concern me more than some filthy terrorist prisoners.
Our government will cover it's tracks because there isn't anyone that knows how to fight a war like this. There never will be.
