This post is in the casual convo for a reason. I must start off by saying that I don't want this to become a religious debate at all. I intend this to merely be about what I ask, not to sound rude. But if people would like to, they can start a new post in another topic.

The motive behind this post is that I'm writing a script and as research I would like to know what the general feelings are towards death nowadays. Does anyone ever see themself Dying? Is there a general fear? What do you think about death aside from if there is a afterlife?

I'm not entirely sure what you're trying to research here, but I can give you a fairly "conversational" response. When you ask "Does anyone ever see themself Dying?" I'm assuming you don't mean "Does anyone have mystical visions of their own death?" Can I accept mortality? Sure. Hello - it's kinda inevitable.

I am not one of those who believes that longevity is an end in itself or who somehow tries to imagine that with the proper diet and exercise, they'll somehow live forever. Indeed, I can think of nothing more monotonous. I would not, therefore, regard death with much fear. The only thing I might fear in relation to death is its unnecessary delay in the event of a protracted and debilitating illness. We're all gonna die some day - could be tonight, could be twenty, forty, sixty years from now. I'm pretty much ready any time.

I couldn't tell if you were discouraging the discussion of an afterlife or not, but I certainly hope there isn't one - at least not that Christian nightmare. Dancing around a throne singing praises for the rest of eternity?? My reaction to that after five minutes? Get me the hell outta here!!!
