Full Version: Please make sure your email address is valid
Hello everyone.
We have been receiving a very high volume of returned email lately caused by members using email accounts that have been closed. If you have switched Internet Service Providers or closed your email account, please be sure to update your profile to ensure you are using a current email address.
If your email address is not correct, you will not receive topic subscription notifications, new topic notifications, or notifications that you have received new personal messages. When these email are rejected by your server, they end up in my inbox.
As these email come in, I will begin cancelling topic and forum subscriptions and new PM notifications for the members who have invalid email addresses. In the future, we will be updating our Terms of Service to reflect that all members must maintain a valid email address, or their posting ability will be disabled.
Many of you already know, but please let me reiterate that America's Debate is a spam-free site. We have never sent a mailer to our members, and we have no intentions of doing so. We will only send you email if you have elected to receive that mail in your control panel.
