With the recent elections held in Iraq a new topic for dinner table discussion has emerged. Do you believe that the rights of women, and even some men, in the Middle-east are changing? With America's new brick in the wall nation of Iraq drawing plans for a new Constitution who could not think of the roles of the people?
Now that America has aided in the election process, it's time for another American influence to creep in there somewhere. With an American-like plan for drafting a Constitution, undoubtedly America will press an article to be dedicated to the rights of women/men from lesser-born families.
Questions for debate:
Do you believe that Iraq has taken bold new steps toward democracy in the Middle-east? Please explain.
Does this new system include changing the way that area of the world views right's of citizens?
If Iraq can potentially change the way the Middle-east thinks how long will it take the rest of that region to adopt a similar system by which granting everyone a say.
Should America press the issue, do we even have a right to press the issue?
