I have only watched Bill O'Reilly three times, and each time my blood pressure went throught the roof. tongue.gif It bothers me that he interrupts his guests, and rudely at that, because I'm genuinely interested in hearing the responses to what are usually good questions. Bill O'Reilly seems to want to humiliate his guests without any true desire to obtain knowledge. In my opinion, that's bad journalism, and his behavior with the German ambassador was appalling to me. To each his own, I guess, but it's not for me.

I disagree. He cut's people off when they get off topic much like the admins here do! whistling.gif I have no problem cutting off someone who starts spouting rheteric rather than answering a direct question.

If anyone is not a fan of O'Reilly, but not willing to totally right him off, listen to his radio show if you get it where you live.

He talks to more people (callers), the majority of which do not agree with him. He seems to be much more amiable and easier to take.

Bill is the man! If you try to dodge a question, or say he's ridiculous or anything he's on you like white on rice, he's great.

I enjoy his show sometimes because it's a rare perspective on TV. That doesn't mean that I agree with the way he handles things. There's obviously spin in his zone and I don't always spin his way.

For instance:

The story of the crossdresser being approved by a school board to chaperone on school trips. His stand on that story completely upset me because I feel a child has a right to have their parents participate in their education regardless of how others might consider them unacceptable.

Our Boy Scout Troup has a father who was convicted of gun running and drug trafficking out on parole. He's not permitted to be a leader but he's certainly welcome to attend the functions as a father. Why should a child lose an opportunity to experience positive things with parental involvement because their parents are not acceptable by society (some rightly so as in the case of a convicted felon.) My point is that a child should have an opportunities and not be held back by what their parents do.

I'm not offering this for a debate. Just an example of how I can be disenchanted by the spin even though I do enjoy the show for getting a different perspective on issues than what's normally available on TV.
