Let us suppose we had a technology that would allow us to run our cars and homes on a clean, safe, and inexhaustible fuel source that any nation in the world could use. What if we announced that, within two years, America would be completely independent of foreign oil and other fuels and that we would soon sell this technology to the rest of the world, too?
