Newest resources Open CRS: Congressional Research Reports For The People
American taxpayers spend over $100 million a year to fund the Congressional Research Service, a "think tank" that provides reports to members of Congress on a variety of topics relevant to current political events. Yet, these reports are not made available to the public in a way that they can be easily obtained. Open CRS provides citizens access to CRS Reports already in the public domain

"The Congressional Research Service (CRS) does not provide direct public access to its reports... Some Members of Congress, as well as several non-profit groups, have posted the reports on their Web sites. This site aims to provide integrated, searchable access to many of the full-text CRS reports that have been available at a variety of different Web sites since 1990."

The Scientific Activist opens up a new dialogue on the proper role of science in an ever changing society. The truth isn't always black or white, but an informed public is an empowered one, so I won't shy away from the complex issues. Most importantly, though, The Scientific Activist takes on the people and obstacles standing in the way of the progress and proper application of science. Enemies of science, beware!

I almost use this site for soothing after a long day at work. She has these wonderfully interesting recipes she blogs about. Overnight Apple Cake, Salmon Roasted in Fig Leaves, Fattoush, G.O.O.P. Samak Tibsi, Maté Roll Cake with Sesame Cream. I never have time to cook but one day I plan to start from day one of her blog and put myself in a deep food coma.
